Nissan Sylphy SSS 1.6 DIG-T – Souped-up Japanese beauty
Riding on this success of the second-generation Nissan Sylphy (the first being known more commonly as the Sunny), the Japanese car-manufacturer launched the third generation of the Sylphy last year, with a 1.8 litre as well as a 1.6 litre version available.
While the Sylphy wasn’t your typical Civic Type R or S2000 where you could blip the throttle to achieve that punch of horsepower, it proved to be decently comfortable compared to the 1.8 Premium.
In a bid to further attract the power-savvy new-generation driver, Nissan has now launched its 1.6 litre variant of the Sylphy Super Sports Sedan, or Sylphy SSS for short.
Where it was once an ordinary family sedan, the Sylphy now comes fitted with Nissan’s DIG-T turbocharged engine. So, does it really compromise its level of comfort and driveability?
